A languid summer holiday feast for the eyes!!! Extremely underrated, beautiful, peaceful, colorful, thoughtful, dreamy! One of my favorites, for sure.

 

The Cobweb (1955)

I wasn't a big fan of this movie (which is why I took .2 screencaps). It was very dramatic, and while I love some drama, it wasn't my type of Drama. If you love people getting emo over some curtains, please watch this. This movie was m a d e for you. It also has the glorious ladies Lauren Bacall and Gloria Grahame!

Little Women (1949)

Snowy scenes are the best scenes, they are instantly warming & comforting to me

This foyer!!!!!! Can you imagine!!!! The stained glass windows! That staircase! 

Like the snow scenes, I'm always majorly drawn in by sun rooms/greenhouses, if I see one in a movie, my interest is piqued 100%. This movie checked off a lot of boxes for me: a snow scene, sun room, sisters, beautiful outdoor scenes (even if they're mostly fake... it still looks so picturesque and storybook-like)

This little nursery reminded me of Mary Poppins!! So quaint & warm & comforting!

Elizabeth's dress here is a thing of DREAMS!!! The ultimate autumn look!!! And quite a departure from the usual period piece costumes you see from this era. It's a little unusual, and it instantly got my attention.
